British-Nigerian artist Darkoo’s “$exy Girl $ummer (Vol.1)” is a vibrant, sun-soaked celebration of feminine energy and summer vibes, released in June 2025. The EP features 8 tracks that blend Afrobeats, dancehall, and pop influences, all crafted to be the soundtrack for confident, carefree women everywhere.
The project was mostly recorded in Zanzibar, and Darkoo describes it as a dedication to women’s joy, beauty, and self-expression. She wanted to create music that women could truly see themselves in—not just songs they like, but songs about them.
